Fine arts artist, born in Hungary - abstract/impressionist style. Working in gouache, oil, and mixed media. His greatest aspiration in life is to communicate himself through color and composition in order to transfer a message; we are all part of a larger web of the universe - opening windows of transparency, giving hope and help to each other. Educated in Budapest, Paris, and the United States, he speaks several languages. His art is timeless, expressing the desire to share his concern to heal mind and body by art. October 23, 1991 - Presented with Award of Distinction for heroism to organize and participate in the 1956 Hungarian revolution against the occupying Soviet communist regime. Received in recognition for saving lives and fighting for the freedom of his country and Eastern Europe. Document signed by the President of the free Hungarian government, Hungarian Secretary of State, and the President of the Hungarian Parliament. April 2005 - Became member of Communications Coordination Committee for the United Nations. Wants to help sick children in the world within the framework of UNESCO by gifting copyrights of his art and through donations. 1957-1962 - Studied under scholarship at LÉcole National Superior Des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. Attended the class of Professor Souverbie, a personal friend of Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, and Pablo Picasso. 1959-1964 - His paintings were presented by Galerie de la Seine, Galerie de Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré, and the Cité Université International Exhibition Hall of Paris. Works sold to private collectors. In Budapest, honor student with scholarship at the National Academy of Decorative and Fine Arts. Sold several of his works to the National Gallery of Budapest. Accepted with full scholarship to the college/gymnasium of Sàrospatak (founded 1621), a school with a reputation throughout Europe and established student exchange programs with England, Holland, Poland and Germany. These four years provided opportunity to participate in national competitions; Attila was first prize winner of national mathematic, film critic, and theatrical stage design competitions during the college years. Traveled extensively to learn about art and artists of different periods - visiting well-known museums of Europe in France, Italy, Spain, Austria - and using the experiences as the basis of his art concept and colors. After arriving at New York from Paris, he continued to be involved with colors and to use his visual education in the textile industry; as Stylist and Art Director for major textile companies. For 12 years, he also ran his own company in New York City. At present, he lives and works in Westchester (New York) preparing exhibitions. Attila's works are printed as original-sized color reproductions and available as limited edition prints. To ensure the highest quality, each print is produced under his strict supervision, then personally numbered, titled, and signed. Each reproduction is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Limited edition prints can be seen on three continents in museums and various galleries of the New York metropolitan area. He has been invited to exhibit his work in Zurich, Switzerland, and will present his work in Berlin, Germany - the present fine art center of Europe.
